Your Maternity Photography Experience

Pregnancy is an incredible journey filled with excitement, anticipation and love. Whether you're expecting your first baby or growing your family, a maternity session is the perfect opportunity to celebrate this special chapter before your little one arrives.

My maternity sessions are relaxed, unhurried and tailored entirely to you. During your two-hour studio session, we'll create a beautiful collection of portraits using a variety of poses, lighting and styling to suit your personality and vision.

With access to a carefully selected collection of maternity dresses and flowing gowns, together with the option to bring your own favourite outfits, we'll create elegant images that you'll treasure for a lifetime.

Who Is It For?

Maternity sessions are perfect for all expectant mums and are generally recommended from 34 weeks onwards, depending on the size of your bump and how comfortable you're feeling. Every pregnancy is different, so if you're unsure of the best time to book, I'm always happy to advise.

Partners and children are welcome to be included at no extra cost, allowing you to celebrate this exciting journey together and create beautiful family memories before your newest arrival.

Many of my maternity clients return with their newborn just a few weeks later, followed by milestone sessions and their baby's first birthday, allowing me to document one of the most incredible journeys a family can experience.

Many of the families I photograph begin their journey with a maternity session before returning for newborn, milestone and first birthday photography, allowing me to capture memories from pregnancy through your baby's first year and beyond.

When should I book my maternity session?

The best time to book is after your 20-week scan. This allows me to reserve space in my diary and gives us flexibility to schedule your session at the perfect stage of your pregnancy.

What week is best for maternity photographs?

I generally recommend booking your maternity session from 34 weeks onwards, depending on the size of your bump and how comfortable you're feeling. Every pregnancy is different, so if you're unsure, I'm always happy to advise on the best timing for you.

What should I wear?

Neutral colours and simple clothing always photograph beautifully. You are welcome to bring your own favourite outfits, and I'll also guide you on what works best before your session so you feel confident and comfortable.

Do you provide dresses?

Yes. I have a small collection of beautiful maternity dresses and flowing gowns available for you to use during your session. You're also welcome to bring your own outfits if you have a particular style or vision in mind.

Can my partner join in?

Absolutely. Partners are always welcome to be included at no extra charge. These photographs celebrate your growing family and often become some of the most treasured images from the session.

Can my children be included?

Yes. Brothers and sisters are welcome to take part at no extra charge, creating beautiful family photographs alongside your maternity portraits.

What if I'm having twins?

Congratulations! Twin pregnancies are very special, and maternity sessions can be tailored to celebrate this exciting chapter. Because twin pregnancies often progress differently, I recommend getting in touch early so we can choose the most suitable date.

What if my baby arrives early?

If your baby decides to make an early appearance, don't worry. Please contact me as soon as possible and we'll discuss your options. If your maternity session can't go ahead, we can arrange a newborn session instead.

How long does the session last?

Maternity sessions usually last around 2 hours. This gives us plenty of time for outfit changes, different lighting styles, family photographs and breaks if needed, without ever feeling rushed.

Can I bring my own ideas?

Of course. If you've seen photographs you love or have a particular style in mind, feel free to share your ideas before your session. I'll work with you to create photographs that reflect your personality while keeping my own artistic style.

Do you edit the photographs?

Yes. Every image is individually hand edited to a professional standard before being presented in your private online gallery. I carefully enhance each photograph while keeping you looking natural and timeless.

How do I book?
